Getting the Lady Panthers off to a good start was Anna Gonsoulin, who won the javelin with a toss of 113 feet, 6 inches.
“I really didn’t throw well on my first throw, it went 90 feet and I usually throw in the 100s,” Gonsoulin said. “Then I got some confidence and I threw 113 and I tried some different things on my other throws because I knew that I was in first place.
“It was a chance to tweak some things as I get ready for regional and state.”

“My buddy Trey beat me in the long jump and if anybody would beat me I’m glad it was him,” said LeBlanc, who also ran a leg in the 4x200 meter relays. “I’m just focusing on regionals next week, not looking ahead to the state meet.”
