Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church in New Iberia, for Linda Villermin, 71, who passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018, at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice in Lafayette.
A lifelong resident of New Iberia, Linda Babineaux Villermin was born on May 19, 1947, to Junius and Lucille Espinoza Babineaux. She worked as a substitute teacher for the Iberia Parish School Board. She was a faithful Catholic and loved her dog, Max and her cat, Mini. She cherished time spent with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and her great grandson. She also enjoyed her plants, flowers, gardening, playing cards, puzzles, and going to the casino.
Linda is survived by a daughter Dawn Rambo and husband, Clint, of New Iberia; sons Beanie Villermin and wife, Chantell, of New Iberia, and Jacob Villermin of New Iberia; brothers Richard Babineaux and wife, Anita, and Jimmy Babineaux and wife, Peggy, all of Coteau; grandchildren Jenna Funk, Tiffany Gilbert, Haili Rambo, Alyssa Villermin, Kylyan Villermin and spouse, Jasmine, Madyson Villermin, and Jaxson Villermin; and a great grandchild Zylyan Villermin.
She was preceded in death by a son Johnathan Villermin; father, Junius Babineaux; mother, Lucille Babineaux; and an infant brother Johnny Babineaux.
