A Home-going celebration will be held for Mrs. Carol Comeaux, 68, the former, Carol Davis at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2019, at Fletcher Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop John Milton, officiating.
She will await the resurrection in Beau Pré Memorial Park Cemetery in Jeanerette.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday at the funeral home 8 a.m. until the time of the service.
Carol Davis Comeaux was born January 12, 1951, in Lafayette, to the late Wilbert Banks and Edna Mae Frank. She was later adopted as a child of Mitchell Henry Davis.
On June 9, 2019, she departed from this life to be with her Heavenly Father. She accepted Christ as her Savior and was member of Imani Temple in Lafayette.
A native of New Iberia, she attended St. Edward Catholic School and graduated from Jonas Henderson Senior High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Southern University. After graduating, she worked with the Internal Revenue Service. Later, Carol pursued a career with A.L. Williams Insurance Company, where she became Regional Vice President.
Carol is survived by her husband, Thomas E. Comeaux Sr.; daughter Demetra Comeaux; son Thomas E. Comeaux II; grandchildren Thomas III, Xavier, Jon, Alana, Ariana and Elijah; sisters Emma, Mattie, Ora Mae, Mary, Cynthia and Nora; brothers Mitchell Jr., Carson, Wilbert Jr. and Kenny; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded death by her parents, Edna Mae Davis and Wilbert Banks; and three brothers, Troy, Sammy Lee and Ray Lee.
Active Pallbearers are Keithan Davis, Thomas Edison Comeaux II, Mitchell Davis Jr., Bobby Ross, Charles Derouselle, Christopher White and Makenzie Thomas.
