Following an early morning working out at Cajun Field today, University of Louisiana at Lafayette assistant football coach D.J. Looney died after suffering a heart attack, the school said.
Looney, 31, was in his third year with the team, as he was an offensive line coach.
A Chattanooga, Tenn native, Looney played at Oak Mountain High School in Birmingham, Ala. He played college football at Mississippi State and graduated from there in 2010. This is a developing story.
