LOREAUVILLE — The Loreauville Board of Aldermen approved a payment to The Sellers Group for the work done so far in creating a schematic for the village’s fire station at Monday’s regular meeting.
A unanimous vote approved $12,027 for the design work that has been conducted over the past few months for the new Loreauville Fire Station. Mayor Brad Clifton said the work by the engineering firm so far included testing and soil work.
The schematic for the new station, which will be located about a mile off from the current station on Bridge Street, is not yet completed and so far no date has been given.
Clifton said the board asked several questions about the design of the schematic that was weighed at Monday’s board meeting as well.
In other business, the board approved a contract change order for a drainage project that decreased the contract amount by $1,230, according to the agenda.
The board also approved an estimate for a partial payment in the amount of $32,982 to Southern Constructors.
Russell Champagne, a CPA with Champagne & Co.LLC presented the June 30, 2021 audit report as well.
The board approved a $1,020 payment to the Spectrum Group for a new sensor for the village’s sewer plant at the meeting as well.
