Budget to be addressed at Loreauville meeting

The Loreauville Board of Aldermen will vote on the 2020 city budget at a meeting Monday.

LOREAUVILLE — The Loreauville Board of Aldermen will vote to approve the 2020 budget at Monday’s regular meeting.

A presentation of the budget from Town Clerk Phyllis Savoy will take place at the meeting, followed by a public hearing on the budget and a vote from the board.

The board also will vote on a resolution to submit a system survey compliance questionnaire for auditors, followed by a proclamation recognizing July as Parks and Recreation month.

The board will vote to designate The Daily Iberian as the official journal of the village for fiscal year 2020 as well.

The board will vote on a 2019 Ford truck purchase completed through the state procurement office, and also will vote to declare the village’s 2010 Chevrolet truck as surplus property.

A decision to advertise for bids on the sale of the 2010 truck or to donate to the Loreauville Volunteer Fire Department for a medical unit will be made by the board as well.

The meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Loreauville Town Hall.
