Brinkley Chris Segura and Matt Joseph Lopez were married Saturday, June 1, 2013, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in New Iberia. The bride is the daughter of Barry and Helen Segura of New Iberia and the groom is the son of Richard “Ricky” and Annette Lopez of New Iberia.
The Rev. Charles Langlois officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore an ivory-colored trumpet silhouette gown with a sweetheart neckline, deep V-back and cap sleeves created in an elegant French lace and silky satin lining that was delicately beaded with crystals and pearls.
Along the zipper were crystal bridal buttons and lace appliqués were sewn onto the layers of tulle and trim with a scallop hem.
The gown was draped with a cathedral veil and blusher which was trimmed in lace appliqués and beading.
She carried a bouquet of white and pale pink peonies, stephanotis, white roses and crystal and pearl brooches, which were all embraced with the late Frances Segura’s pearl rosary.
Serving as maid of honor was Brittany Romero. Bridesmaids were Jordan Lawrence, Allison Courville, Emmy Mouton, Britt Segura and Jenee Comeaux.
Flower girls were Ella Segura, Gabrielle Sorrel, Madison Sorrel and Amanda Moore.
Ring bearers were Luke Lopez and Marshall Moore.
Serving as best man was Kenneth Bodin. Groomsmen were Dominic Martin, James Smith, Jared Migues, Steven Sorrel and Christopher Poirrier.
Ushers were Alec Martin and Blane Segura.
A reception for family and friends was held at the Cade Community Center in Cade.
Following a wedding trip to the Caribbean Island of St. Lucia, the couple will reside in New Iberia.
