Joni Lynn Melancon and Jacob McNallan Reed were married Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at The Manor. The bride is the daughter of Linda Melancon of Loreauville and the late John Melancon Jr. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Broussard of Loreauville and Mark Reed of Katy, Texas.

Veronica Ferry officiated at the 6 p.m. ceremony.

The bride wore a beaded, ivory-colored lace, trumpet-style gown with an empire waist, cap sleeves and a chapel train.

For her headpiece, she wore a hair comb made with an ausman broach and detailed with fine crystals, ivory freshwater pearls and Edwardian motifs.

She carried a clutch bouquet of orange orchids, white hydrangeas and ivory-colored roses.

Maid of honor was Alexa Landry. Man of honor was Larry Escagne Jr. Bridesmaids were Brooksie Chastant, Allison Smith, Taylar Walker and Simone Sherville.

They each carried a clutch bouquet of fall colored dahlias, ranunculus and roses.

Flower girl was Sadie Alvarez. Ring bearer was Ethan Schouest.

Serving as best man was Heath Sonnier. Groomsmen were Jordan Melancon, Seth Champagne, Alex Babineaux, Dustin Pelous and Bailey Murry.

A reception for family and friends was held at The Manor.

Following a trip to Disney World, the couple will reside in Lafayette.
