Charrell M. Edwards and Ronald L. Ward Jr. were married Saturday, July 13, 2013, at First Jerusalem Baptist Church in Jeanerette. The bride is the daughter of Charles and Melba Edwards of Jeanerette. The groom is the son of Ronald and Marsha Ward Sr. of Jeanerette.
The Rev. Arthur Lee Alexander officiated at the 4 p.m. candlelight ceremony.
The bride wore an organza and tulle high-low gown with a beaded appliqué flower at the drop waist and pickup skirt. The gown featured a sweep train.
For her headpiece she wore a birdcage veil embellished with stones.
She carried a bouquet of apple red roses with an antique brooch.
Serving as maid of honor was Ronneika Ward. Matron of honor was Charees Palmer. Bridesmaids were Natandré Richard, Porscha Frank, Denae Joseph, Arhonda Key-McCreary, Rodnisha Jones, Ashala Bowie, Shenesha Allen, Sha’Quita Declouet, Jamie Wheeler and Ondremecia Moneaux.
Flower girl was Rhy’Lan Ward. Ring bearer was Messiah Buteaux.
Miniature bride was Arriona Alexander. Miniature groom was Rah’Khi Blaise.
Best men were Daniel Key Sr. and Tavoris Marks. Groomsmen were Kazanski Colar, Jarvish Johnlouis, Johnny Sam, Spencer Rollins, Kenneth Colar Jr., Curtis Palmer, Charvast Edwards, Reginald Ward, Gregory Green and Lee Arthur Johnlouis.
Ushers were Brian Gibson Jr. and Anterrio Williams.
A reception for family and friends was held at Mon Ami in Grand Marais.
Following a cruise to Mexico, the couple will reside in Jeanerette.
