Funeral Services will be conducted for Kasey Troy Kramer, 39, at 10 a.m. Friday, December 23, 2011, at Evangeline Funeral Home with Fr. Steve LeBlanc officiating. Interment will be held at Holy Family Mausoleum with military honors by Louisiana Army National Guard Military Funeral Honors Team.

Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. until service time on Friday.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Kasey passed away at 1:29 a.m. on Wednesday December 21, 2011.

Kasey was a U.S. Army/Airborne veteran where he served as a U.S. Army Paratrooper for three years. He was stationed in Fort Sill for Basic Training, then in Fort Bliss and Fort Benning before being transferred to Germany.

A 1990 graduate of NISH, Kasey then attended USL and played football there for four years. He loved football and was an avid Ragin’ Cajun football fan. After graduating from USL he then attended LA Tech and received a degree in nursing and practiced as a registered nurse for many years.

Kasey is survived by his daughter Kennadi Ann Kramer and her mother, Stephanie Chambers, of New Iberia; parents, Kent Sr. and Billie Sue Kramer, of New Iberia; brothers Kent Kramer Jr. and wife, Debi, of New Iberia; sister Karen K. Chalmers and husband, Russell, of New Iberia; nieces and nephews Kent Kramer III, Kaleb Kramer, Amelie Kramer, Lexxi  Broussard, Bobby Broussard and Ashley Chalmers.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Pallbearers will be Kent Kramer Jr., Kent Kramer III, Kaleb Kramer, Russel Chalmers, Bryan Broussard, Seth Porche and Bobby Broussard.
