A Home-going celebration will be held for Harvey Willis, 57, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2017, at Fletcher Funeral Home in New Iberia with Rev. Willie Polite officiating.
He will await the resurrection in St. John Cemetery in Franklin.
Visitation will commence on Thursday at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until time of service.
A native and resident of New Iberia, he passed away at 5:15 a.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at his home.
He leaves to cherish his fond memory three brothers Joseph Spencer Sr. of Charlotte, North Carolina, George Willis Thompson (Annette) and Roger Willis of New Iberia; four sisters Adele W. Joseph, Helen W. Williams (James Sr.), Carol W. Francis (Anthony) and Julia Willis, all of New Iberia.
Harvey is preceded in death by his parents, Clifton Sophus and Mary Willis; and one brother Claiborne Willis.
Active pallbearers will be George W. Thompson, Roger Willis, Justin Williams, Jamaine Williams, Richard C. Willis Sr. and Richard Willis Sr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Shea Lee Sr., Thomas Volter, Joseph Decuir, Matthew Jones, Roger Dugas and Michael Delcambre.
