ST. MARTINVILLE — Services will be conducted for Mrs. Dorothy Bonhomme Charles, 69, the former Dorothy Bonhomme, at 11 a.m. Friday Dec. 4 2009, at Notre Dame Catholic Church with the Rev. Justin Officiating. Interment will be in the Queen of Peace Cemetery.

Visitation will be at Golden Meadows Funeral Home from 7 a.m. until time of services. Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m.

A native and lifelong resident of St. Martinville, she died at Lafayette General Hospital following a cardiac arrest.

She is survived by her mother, Amelia Mouton, of St. Martinville; two sons Carlos Charles and Wilton Charles; two daughters Greta Charles, Monica Charles, all of St. Martinville; three brothers John Trahan of Kempner, Texas, Morris Mouton of Lafayette, and Francis Mouton of New Iberia; three sisters Mildred Kately and Viola Thibodeaux of St. Martinville and Janet Pierre of Loreauville; and three grandchildren Joshua Wiltz, Destini Leon and Jaraya White.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ceasar Bonhomme; brother Freddie Mouton; maternal grandparents, John and Pricilla Jean Batiste.

Pallbearers will be Morris Thibodeaux, Keith Thibodeaux, Cassidy Kately Jr., Warren White, David Savoy and Marlon Mouton.

Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Kately, Alton Batiste Sr., Clarence Charles, Carlos Charles, Wilton Charles Cassidy Kately Sr., Joseph Thibodeaux, David Willis, Lee Arthur Pierre, John Trahan, Morris Mouton, Francis Mouton and Mark Armstead.

The Golden Meadows Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
