A Home Going Celebration will be held for Mrs. Allison J. Williams, the former Allison Johnson, 46, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2012, at Faith Cathedral World Outreach Center, New Iberia, with Bishop Drew Rousse officiating. She will await the resurrection at St. Matthew Cemetery, New Iberia.

A gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until time of service.

A native of Morbihan and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Williams passed at 2:05 a.m. on Monday, October 1, 2012, at Iberia Medical Center. She was a member of Faith Cathedral, and was a praise and worship leader, deaconess and choir member.

She leaves to cherish her memory and in God’s care her loving husband of 20-plus years, David Williams; two sons Tyler David Williams and Taylor Isaiah Williams; and one daughter Skylar Geralyn Williams, all of Morbihan; two brothers Marvin C. Joseph of St. Martinville and John Johnson (Adrienne) of San Antonio; one uncle Kenneth Teno (Melany) of New Iberia; great-uncle Louis Jones (Ethel) of New Iberia; mother- and father-in-law, Kenneth and Hilda Williams, of New Iberia; brother-in-law Kenel Williams of New Iberia; sister-in-law Renee’ Narcisse (Jerry Jr.) of New Iberia; those who were like brothers Michael F. Miller Sr. (Beverly) of Jeanerette and Wayne Miller of Baton Rouge; a cousin and best friend of 40-plus years, who was raised like a sister, Dequindra “Zsa-Zsa” Redding; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She now joins in glory with her parents, Jerry Johnson and Geraline J. Johnson; brother Troy Lynn Johnson; paternal grandmother, Albertha Teno; maternal grandparents, Mary Joseph and Polite Joseph.

Active pallbearers will be Jerry Narcisse Jr., Wayne Miller, Michael Bradley, Sean Rose, Leo Collin Jr. and Jamoree’ Miller.

Honorary pallbearers will be Michael F. Miller Sr., Marvin C. Joseph, John Johnson, Tyler D. Williams, Kenneth Teno, Fernon “Pop” Gilliam, David Williams and Kenel Williams.
