Health care monstrosity

Published/Last Modified on Thursday, March 18, 2010 2:09 PM CDT

For some interesting reading, get a copy of HR3200 from the Internet, all 2,700-plus pages of the monstrosity. Read it carefully!

OK, for those of you who fall asleep easily, read the first 60 pages of it. That should be enough to raise your blood pressure several points. Within those first 60 pages we are told that individuals will be limited to $5,000 worth of health care, $10,000 for a married couple.

This paltry sum wouldn’t cover an extended hospital stay. We are also told in no uncertain terms that health care will be provided for all within the confines of our borders, whether legal citizens or otherwise.

The icing on this choking cake is that every person will be issued an ID card that allows full financial access to your federal government. Page 1,000 states that no future Congress can repeal this bill which is strictly unconstitutional.

I haven’t read more of this so-called health care reform bill but I would not be surprised to find that we may be required to have a number tattooed on our wrist someday soon. Believing that this bill will reduce health care costs is as ludicrous as believing chickens wear false teeth. Yet by the time this letter is published it is highly possible that the disapproving public will have had this bill shoved down our throats.  The America we once knew and loved has been stolen from us.

How’s that hopey/changey thing working out for you?

" I was watching Dr. Oz the other day and a young man asked Dr. Oz's opinion on the ObamaHealth Care reform...Dr. Oz stated that, it's not healthcare that needs changing...Start with helping people to lose wieght and you will save billions of dollars in health care!!
Sounds great to me, Kill the BILL...Is it even possible to do this in Nov.2010? "

" To Betty: After you READ for yourself ALL 2700 pages of this bill ( not just what you are told pro and con) please write back and tell me whether you still feel hope or dispair. This goes double if you are a working class middle american. "

" The hopey-changey thing is going to help millions of people in the long term. Once again, cowards and lovers of the status-quo like you don't want the rest of us who don't have insurance to have access to something that may, quite honestly, save our lives.
Like all pieces of legislatation, this bill isn't perfect, but I sure as heck would rather have hope than despair. Shame on you and all others who think like you. "
