LOREAUVILLE — Funeral services will be conducted for Anthony “Barry” Eldridge, 64, at 11 a.m. Wednesday February 10, 2010, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Buddy Breaux officiating. Interment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 9, 2010, from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a Rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume Wednesday from 8 a.m. until service time. Military graveside services will be conducted.

A native and lifelong resident of Loreauville, Mr. Eldridge died Sunday, February 7, 2010, at 9:36 p.m. in a local hospital. He worked for Texaco for 35 years as a diesel mechanic. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in Vietnam.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Broussard Eldridge, of Loreauville; one son Bannon Eldridge and wife, Julie, of New Iberia; one daughter Gretchen Willett and husband, Adam, of Lafayette; grandchildren Austin Willett of Lafayette and Addison Eldridge of New Iberia; two brothers Tasey Eldridge and wife, Becky, and Jimmy Eldridge and wife, Mitzi, all of Loreauville; nephews Sandy and Brant Eldridge; and nieces Cyndi and Alix Eldridge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Laurence Prince Eldridge; and two brothers Tommy and Mike Eldridge.
