Be vigilant

Published/Last Modified on Thursday, February 4, 2010 2:06 PM CST

If it can be perceived, to you, it is real. Yet it may not be. This is the reason you should not constantly tell a young kid he is stupid. If he perceives he is stupid, guess what.

Conservatives, and the Insurance Industry, know if they constantly bombard the public with misinformation and distorted facts, and paint a picture of doom and gloom, over and over, people will get that perception.

The perception of the people can accomplish anything, make or break the economy, or make or break health care. Sometimes it only takes a few words to make a difference. Two examples are: Clinton’s “It’s the economy, stupid.”, changed a deficit into a 3 trillion dollar surplus. Kennedy’s, “We chose to put a man on the moon and bring him back safely in this decade, and do other things. Not because they are hard, but because we choose to do them.”

I have a government subsidized insurance plan. Why should I not want to see anyone else have the same? What’s wrong with our government being of the people, by the people, and for the people?

Jesus said, “Those who have ears, let them hear. Be vigilant, and allow no one to mislead you.”

If you are a Liberal, don’t only watch MSNBC. If you are a Conservative, don’t only watch FOX. God gave you a brain, use it.

    " Dear Lonnie,
Do you think if you keep distorting what conservatives stand for, and distorting facts that we will get that perception???
Bill Clinton was president at the right time!!! Everyone points out Clinton's great accomplishments and fails to mention that the REPUBLICAN congress led by Newt Gingrich dragged Clinton to the center to achieve this success!!!
Also the internet boom was just beginning to take hold when Clinton came into office! Forrest Gump could have been a successful president then!!!!
The present government is of the people,by the people, and for the GREEDY POLITICIANS!!!!
    ADMIT IT!!!! "
