WHO DAT NATION

After just returning from Miami and witnessing the greatest moment in Louisiana sports history, I'd like to thank former Governor Kathleen Blanco. Thanks for your foresight in rebuilding the Superdome after Hurricane Katrina. Just think, without the Saints, we would not even be celebrating the wonderful victory on sports greatest stage. I know Kathleen was criticized sharply, for mishandling many aspects of the storm. But if she made any RIGHT decision, if was rebuilding the Superdome, I know many who disliked Kathleen will reply with negative comments about her tenure as Governor. But I, for one, would like to thank her for her foresight in keeping the Saints, and the Superdome, as Louisiana's premier sporting venue. Thanks again, Kathleen, and Bless you and your wonderful family. If this is YOUR legacy; which I believe it will be, you deserve more thanks than I could ever heep on you.Go Saints!!!  From da WHO DAT nation. THANKS.

Suggest you take an educated look at it. "

" To Confused; You are exactly that. It's like saying that Ronald Reagan didn't have anything to do with the fall of the Berlin wall. It happened during her watch; who do you want to give credit to?? It doesn't seem to matter much because of your hatred for KBB. Move on wth your CONFUSED life because you will never understand. "

" I except giving her credit for the rebuilding of the Dome during her watch, as long as she will take credit for screwing up everything else she touched. Her taking credit for the dome makes as much sense as blaiming her for the storm, it happened on her watch. Have a nive day. "

" What happened to my previous comments about KBB and her lack of qauilifications in office as far backas PSC? Or maybe you didn't like the TRUTH about Raymond! Truth is, she didn't have anything to do with the Dome or the Saints staying. Just like Jimdal wants to take credit for the Superbowl win. Let the SAINTS and the REAL fans enjoy this moment in History without the BS Poltiics!!!!!! "

" First of all, if you did not go to New Orleans after Katrina to see the devistation as it was happening don't say how bad she did. I agree that things could have been done differently, but how would you have handled it? What would have been your bright idea to get these people out. Was there not a MANDITORY EVACUATION order in place, so why are we feeling sorry for those who stayed to loot then got stranded? I agree, if you think you can do a better job, get out there and do it. "

" If you would read the many rebuttals to the Advertiser's A**-Kissing story you would know the the State HAD to repair the Dome, no one CHOSE to. She just happened to be in office at the time. I don't care if she's from here or not, just watching another USELESS politician get on the BANDWAGON! Someone was just trying to fine a "LEGACY" or "MARK IN HISTORY" to put her name behind since she didn't do anything else. Now Dat's Da TRUTH!!! "

" To; Thankful, Confused, Tcoon, artabr, and the threadprotector. Kindly take your negatism to some other thread. This thread does not deserved your moronic responses. Like it or not, she's NOT the Governor any longer. And who cares what funds rebuilt the Dome. Facts are they happened during Kathleen's administration and therefore, she should receive her due credit.Class dismissed. "

" Thank goodness ME did what she did. Without her; whether you liked her or not; is immaterial to the whole subject being discussed here. Give credit where credit is due. The author noted before you responded that some flakes were going to give criticism of her term as Governor. Why can't you and a few others responding here just let it go. Even though I didn't vote for her doesn't mean that she didn't do some good things for the state. But to you Governor Blanco: Thanks for saving our football team. We love our team. "

Wally wrote on Feb 10, 2010 10:22 AM:

" No more truth has ever been written. Thank you whoever you are. Just remember one thing; after Katrina, all New Orleans had left was their football team. Had Blanco not made the commitment to rebuild the Dome, Tagliabue, would not have had a choice to let Benson relocate the team. Just think; this football team has meant everything to the region. The team itself has helped to rebuild New Orleans as well. New Orleans would be the sewer of Louisiana without the Saints. Go Saints, and Who Dat to ALL. "

" First of all, the STATE had to repair the facility, it was still under bond issues. The Federal Govt. paid for most of the repairs anyway. Secondly, it's funny that people only see what this dimwit did now that she's out of office. It just cant erase the vision of her on the air (unaware) saying "I don't know what I'm supposed to do. What am I to do". LOL...What a joke! I'm sure the Guvner's Suite was REALLY taken care of though. Funny the Gov. and Legis. get tickets to all of these big events as"Kickback". "

" It was a good thing she did with the dome. Let's please not turn this into a "she did a horrible job with Katrina" or a "she did as good a job as she could with Katrina" argument. It seems that she has stopped the "I did a decent job with Katrina" tour. As long as she is not trying to rehabilitate her image by dredging up Katrina, PUH-LEEZ let's not go down that road again. She did right by the state with the Superdome, Thanks Governor. Next topic. "

" I was thinking of writing a post similar to this. I am one of the people who did not vote for her, and did not approve of most of her policies, but I agree with you on this one. She knew that losing the Saints would be an even bigger catastrophe than Katrina. Had she not rebuilt the Dome Benson would have taken the Saints out of Louisiana for sure. Can you imagine what it would have been like to watch the San Antonio Saints win the SuperBowl?!!
Thank you Governor Blanco and Paul Tagliabue! "
