The Daily Iberian recently honored a local musician that passed away, Ned Theall of the Boogie Kings. As an informed mother of 3, I often check through the sex offenders website. I first noticed this man on the site years ago. When I saw that he passed away, I re-checked the site to see if he was listed. He is. Too bad the Daily Iberian couldn't have been better sleuths before glorifing this man.

The only ones that informed parent hurt was his family that are grieving for someone that they suddenly lost. Whether or not Ned Theall is resting in peace has to do with whether or not he repented of his sins prior to dying. I pray that he did, but in the meantime, I'm not going to glorify him for the life he lived on earth. From what I can gather, he did not use his God-given talents to glorify God. "

To make the list you have to have engaged in a sexual act with a minor or adult and been convicted of the offense or collected por-ography involving juveniles, so do not try to make it sound like someone saw him on the side of the road after a show relieving himself because we both know that is not the case "

The paper wrote about what he had accomplished in life. It's a sad day when you have to start checking to see what a 72 ? year old man is involved in. " The man lead the Boogie Kings...he was pretty much the manager, the booking agent, the historian, and the 1st trumpet for what may be one of the greatest show bands in the history of Southwest Louisiana. If you know anything about the great bands of the 60s and the musicians that played in them...they are pretty much all sex offenders on some level (especially the Boogie Kings). Some charges may have been warranted...some just a "gotcha back" from jealous or greedy groupies. But it's always the man's fault. RIP Ned...you did some great work. "

If any family members read this - please be aware that although there are callous people in this world, not everyone wants to spew gossip about those who are recently deceased. Please take comfort in knowing that only God can judge - and those who believe that judging others is their god-given right will have their judgement day as well. "
