Memorial services will be conducted for Mrs. Billeus Broussard, the former Marie Knausova, 77, at 7:30 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2010, at David Funeral Home Chapel with Lynn Dartez officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday from 5:30 p.m. until service time.

A native of Spisska, Slovakia and longtime resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Broussard died Thursday, February 4, 2010, at 8:13 a.m. in a local health care facility. She enjoyed fishing and gardening.

Survivors include five daughters, Nancy Bihm and husband Brian, Constance B. Landry and husband Raymond Jr. and Victoria D. Duhon and husband Wayne Sr., all of New Iberia, Lexie D. Medina and husband J.R. of Plano, Texas, and Patricia B. Justilien and husband Kerry Sr. of Coteau Holmes; three sons, Lynn Dartez and wife Leann and Billeus Broussard, all of New Iberia and Rudolph Dartez of Oklahoma; one sister, Gabriella Knausova of Brutal, Germany; 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a lifelong friend, Billy Boutte.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billeus Broussard; her mother, Mariska Knausova and two brothers, Volton Kraus and Rudolph Kraus.
