Katherine C. Champ

ST. MARTINVILLE — Services will be conducted for Katherine Champ, 62, the former Katherine Celestine, at 11 a.m. Saturday at Faith Cathedral with the Bishop Drew Rousse officiating.

Interment will be in St. Anthony Cemetery in Cade.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until time of services at the church.

A native of Houston and a resident of St. Martinville for 30 plus years, she was a longtime employee of  Smile and a devoted member of Faith Cathedral. She loved God and her family.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald J. Champ, of St. Martinville; three daughters Tracela (David) Bashay of Houston, Juneadra Champ of Houston and Julia Celestine of St. Martinville; one brother Ronald Celestine; one sister Nursey Mitchell and three grandchildren.

 She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Celestine Sr.; mother, Dorothy Mayer Celestine; sister Annette Celestine; and brother Harry Celestine Jr.

The Golden Meadows Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
