Amazing what 100 million can do, Ried and his left reworded the bill to state that any State had 7 years of disasters would be entitled to this, guess what, Louisiana is the only one, and why should she care, shes not up for reelection next year, and just like TARP, the money will evaporate before it gets to the people. She sold out plain and simple.

    " To Bobby:
The process of reconciliation was not used before on a major piece of legislation like this bill!!!
It takes 60 votes to close down a filibuster in the senate!!! And to use this procedure would be as underhanded as can be!!! But DEMOCRATS are BEST at this UNDERHANDED BUSINESS!!!! "

" The process of "RECONCILIATION" was used how many times in the last administration?
IF the Democrats do use this method, it will not be something dreamed up by the democrats! "

" To Outraged, things don't get rammed through wth 51 votes. That's called a majority, something George Bush never received on election day. "

" To Concerned and Everyone who thinks alike:
I am fed up with people in this country CRYING about what they are ENTITLED TO!!!!
If you want to see real NEEDY people, watch the pleas for aid to feed and house and provide clean water in AFRICA!!! The kids with extended bellies and flies all over them!!!
Compare that to these OBESE people here crying about what they are ENTITLED to!!!
My wife and I provided a house to a family in Liberia!!! A water well in Kenya and we give to other Charities!!! People here-NO-WAY!!! "

    " To Bobby:
Once the bill gets to the floor with the 60 votes for debate, it can be rammed through with 51 votes using the process of RECONCILIATION !!! Which the democrats will absolutely do!!!!
You don't have to throw Jindal into this! He is not voting on the bill!!! If Landrieu gets the money, if its not spent here I'm sure they will spend it somewhere! It's what they do best!!! Spend other people's money!!! They can not spend anything on this CRUMMY bill or this BRIBE and that would be best for everybody!!! "

    " To Concerned:
This bill was about HEALTH CARE for everyone, not about people in New Orleans!!!
New Orleans is not the center of the universe!!!
There are more people in New Orleans Still waiting for more HAND-OUTS and refusing a HAND-UP!!!
I would rather give money to REAL needy people than most people in this country!!! We have 100 times the opportunities for jobs and every other opportunities than ANY country in the WORLD!!!
If that is what your talking about, then count me as one with no compassion!!!! "

" Sen. Landrieu, I hope, is looking out for majority of her constituents. NO is still reeling from the effects of Katrina; parts of the city look just like it did after the hurricane hit. Schools are still not open, not enough medical facilities, etc. Perhaps Sen. Landrieu paid attention to the many people in La. that flocked to free health clinics and can see the real need for help in her state.
You must remember also; New Orleans is a much larger city than small town New Iberia who have shown they have no compassion for their fellow citizens! "

" Let Jindal refuse ths money as well. See how deep the convicton is. Landrieu voted to allow an up and down vote. Seems a few republcans sought that in the past. Just once have a fact straight. "

" Senator Landreiu expects you to forget how she voted when her re-election comes up. All of the seniors will know what she has done. With an increase of 30% in Medicare roles in the next few years and reducing the funding by 500 billion dollars will ensure rationing, plain and simple. P.S. It ends up to be 300 million not 100. "

" She might not be coming up for re-election this year, but she will at some point. And, we as taxpaying voters, need to remember this. I have written several letters to her office to vote no on this bill. I have received nada, zero, zilch in a response that anyone could read. And basically, Mary Landrieu was purchased, bought, she sold out, etc. "

" Mary Landrieu does exactly what she wants--not her constituents wishes. I email her every week about healthcare and cap and trade. She will hear LOUD and CLEAR when her election comes up. She is committing political suicide by not caring whaT THE MAJORITY OF HER PEOPLE WANT. I CANNOT WAIT!! "

" This president voted "YES"on a measure that would require health care providers to be restricted from providing life saving measures for a baby that survived a abortion attempt!!!!
Just think what EVERYONE has in store for them when this Health Care Travesty passes!!!!
Seniors get ready for a slow death waiting for necessary treatments IF the death panels let you have the treatments!!!!
CONGRESS dosen't have anything to worry about WE will pay for their CADILLAC PLANS and they will RETIRE on LARGE TAXPAYER SALARIES!!!
GOD will give them their TRUE reward!!! "

" I am tired of paying taxes for all the free money. Get rid of all Government programs and take care of yourselves, no more Social security, medicare. give everyone all they paid back and stop it all. If you didn't save for the winter then die, or have your family feed you. Our government is in the shape it is because for generations people have had their hands out wanting something for nothing. Retired people payed pennies into a system and collect for the rest of their lives. living off of the young workers.keepvotingdemocrat reap what you sow. "

" I'm sure she is lining up all her friends and business associates to take advantage of all this FREE money that they can take advantage of!!!!
This is nothing less than THIEVERY !!!!
This will benefit a few and the rest of us especially seniors will suffer for the rest of our lives with a RATIONED health care system and HIGHER TAXES!!!!
It's time to start a RECALL movement to get rid of her!!!!
Once this bill is in place it will be ALMOST impossible to reverse this short of a REVOLUTION!!! "
