ACS falls to Glenmora

GLENMORA -- Cody Hamilton scored a game-high 36 points as Glenmora pulled away late to beat Assembly Christian 70-54 Friday at the Plainview Tournament.

Kelvin Griffin added 11 and Calvin Branch chipped in 10 for the Wildcats, who led 25-10 at the end of the first quarter only to see ACS comeback and tie the game in the fourth quarter before taking control late for the win.

Josh Russo led ACS (1-2) with 20 points and Gunnar Robicheaux added 17 for the Lions, who return home to play host to Bethel Christian Tuesday.

Centerville 83, Bell City 58

BELL CITY -- Rodrick Taylor scored 26 points and Jovan Sanders added 14 as Centerville beat Bell City 83-58 Friday in the semifinals of the Bell City Tournament.

Jonathon Diggs added 12 for the Bullodgs (3-1) who jumped out to a 14-7 first quarter lead and cruised to the win.

Individual scorers for Bell City were not available.

Centerville played Midland Saturday evening for the championship.
