Nominate players for games of Oct. 29-30

Teche Area football fans are asked to nominate players for Dauterive Hospital/Daily Iberian Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors for the ninth week of the high school football season, covering games of Oct. 29-30.

To nominate a player, post a comment at the end of this story, listing the player's name, school and position, whether he is being nominated for offense or defense, and reasons for the nomination such as statistics or game-changing plays.

Nominations are accepted through Monday, Nov. 2, at 2 p.m., after which the top nominees are selected for inclusion in an Internet poll on The Daily Iberian's Web site.

Voting for players of the week will continue through Thursday at 2 p.m., with the top vote-getters named Players of the Week. A special T-shirt and certificate are presented to the Players of the Week.
