A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mrs. Lydia D. Kerlegon, the former Lydia Dupont, 83, on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, 11 a.m. at St. Edward Catholic Church, New Iberia, with Rev. Msgr. Ronald Broussard as celebrant.

A gathering of family and friends will be at Fletcher Funeral Home on Saturday from 7 a.m. -10:30 a.m. with a Rosary being recited at 9 a.m.
A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Kerlegon passed on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at 4:35 p.m. at Dauterive Hospital, New Iberia. Mrs. Kerlegon was a faithful member of St. Edward Catholic Church in New Iberia and was employed for 12 years at the Fruit of the Loom in St. Martinville, as a quality control manager.
She leaves in God’s care, two sons John Nolan Kerlegon and Richard Kerlegon (Toni) of New Iberia; five grandchildren Brian Kerlegon, Monique Kerlegan, Quincy J. Vitto, Willona Lynn Vitto and Jamari Kerlegon and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She now joins in glory with her husband, Paul Kerlegon; son James Kerlegon; parents, Paul Dupont Sr. and Victoria B Dupont; brother, Albert Dupont and sisters Theresa Mercier and Pauline Singleton.
Active pallbearers will be Kenneth Broussard, Tony Mouton, Johnny Louviere, Sherral Boutte, Percy Bonnett and Richard Travers.
Honorary Pallbearers are members of the immediate family.
