Francis ‘Frank’ Blanchard

Francis “Frank” Blanchard, 80, a native of Charenton and a long time resident of Franklin, passed away Friday November 6, 2009, at 1 p.m. at The Franklin Foundation Hospital.

Mr. Blanchard is survived by his son James Blanchard of Franklin; two brothers Antoine Blanchard of Jeanerette and Ambrose Blanchard and his wife, Mary Ann, both of Charenton; seven sisters Regena Frederick of Charenton, Rita Charpentier of Franklin, Lena Mae Businelle of Franklin, Lucy Marcotte and her husband, Elmer, both of Charenton, Beatrice Judice and her husband, Lee, both of Centerville, Emily Blanchard of New Iberia and Irene Blanco of Patterson; his first wife, Audrey Pontiff Picard of Franklin; a brother-in-law Ted Mire of Centerville; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary O’Dell Falterman Blanchard; his father, Rene Blanchard; his mother, Anita Gaudet Blanchard; his two brothers Abel and Elton Blanchard; his sister Marie Ann Blanchard; his brothers-in-law Clarest Frederick, Raymond Charpentier, Rodney Businelle and Ernest Blanco; his sisters-in-law Ruby Stroud Blanchard and Barbara Perez Blanchard.

The family requests that memorial visiting hours be observed Wednesday, November 11 at The Immaculate Conception Church in Charenton from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with an 11 a.m. Rosary.

A memorial mass will be held on that Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Church with Father Bill Crumley officiating and inurnment following in the church cemetery.
