Hello,

To all you hard working employers out there, I would like to give a shout out for our JAG students in Iberia Parish. JAG (Jobs for America's Graduates) is run through the Iberia Parish School Board and its Specialists work through the Iberia Parish Career Center (IPCC - On Base). IPCC provides schooling toward a GED and training in all areas of business. IPCC is partnered with Louisiana Technical College (LTC) in the endeavor of providing students work related training in Drafting, Welding, Child Care, Business, Computers, Hair Styling / Barbering, Carpentry, Food Services, Auto and Diesel Mechanics, Electronics, CNA, First Responder, ......The list goes on and on. We hope that employers who are hiring would call us and give a chance for Iberia Parish students to stay in Iberia Parish. They have the knowledge and skills necessary; now give them a chance to compete. I know business partners will be glad to have these students as part of their teams.

Give them a chance....You will NOT be sorry!

Please help our students...They are our future.

Whoever it is that appreciates our work, I just want to say Thanks!
It is not what we do but what the studenst do everyday. I know that sounds cliche' but it is also true. They are doing Community Service and Fund Raiser while working diligantly on a business skill and on their GED. They also have to prepare for test that other high school students do not. Work Keys for one. Work Keys is an ACT test and it will be the standard for all people looking for jobs in the future.
    Thank YOU! "

" Thank you Sergio Guzman for posting something positive about efforts to gain employment in Iberia Parish. I wish you the best of luck on your endeavors.

And thank you, Mr. Rizzo, for adding your usual sarcasm and negativity. It's always heartening to see Americans, in time of distress, rise to the opportunity of showing their best side. "

" Mr. Rizzo, I understand the economy is down. JAG of all organizations, keeps the pulse of the job market. We are trying to find employment at the entry level for these young adults. We do not want to take someone's job who may have been laid off. There are jobs out there. They may be few and far between, but I felt this was a forum for my plee to assist the students who have made this parish proud by working hard, staying in school, and applying themselves to learn a skill.
