" Did you mean anti hate? I believe most republicans are conservatives. That's why most democrats won't vote for a republican. They are always looking for a handout from a democrat. "

What a sorry pack of selfish, hateful, self-centered folk who don't have enough sense to know when they're being used as corporate publicity. Foolish! "

" I don't agree with Huckabee on every issue, but he was my choice for the '08 nomination based on his support of The Fair Tax alone. Has anyone else read The Fair Tax Book? Implementing "The Fair Tax", would be the single biggest "change" that would turn this economy around almost overnight. If you don't believe me, read the book. It's a real eye opener. "

Listen to Bob. Run Palin in 2012. How can you go wrong? If she's a serious contender, I'll certainly switch parties so I can vote in that primary. The Democrats couldn't ask for a better opponent. "

" On June 16, 2009, "Douglas L. Hoffman will announce Tuesday his intention to seek the Republican nomination for the 23rd Congressional District seat." (Source: Watertown Daily News.) When the Republican party leaders of New York District 23 chose New York Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava as the Republican candidate, Hoffman chose to run under the party title "Conservative." He sought the Republican nomination, however, and had the support of Republicans like Michele Bachmann (R-MN), former Senator Fred Thompson, and eventually Michael Steele, the Republican National Chairman. Call it by any name you wish, it appears heavily Republican to me. "

Oh and what about the DEMAGODS new tactics, registering as republicans, than dropping out of the race to back a DEMCRUT! LOL! The people have awaken. Conservatives have opened their eyes. Now don't get me wrong they got some repuibs that need to go to, but hey that's why they have Independents. The sad thing is every few years we go thruthis. "

" Run Sarah Palin? Oh heaven help us all. The only thing she proved by running for VP is that she's darn tootin' good with a phrase and can't string two coherent thoughts together. She's a empty vessel filled with catch-phrases, nothing more. She couldn't even finish her single term as a governor of Alaska. What's worse, she seemed incredibly uninformed on ANY major issue, blissfully basked in that ignorance, and refused to lift herself from that morass. "

" You so-called conservative Republicans are priceless. You had a Republican candidate that you deemed was not sufficiently conservative, so you threw her under the bus and ran a Conservative candidate. With support from air-head Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh, that makes him essentially a REPUBLICAN candidate. In the fracas, you lost the election. That's the equivalent of cutting off your nose to spite your face. Good show, "Get your facts straight," good show. "

" It really doesn't matter who's destroying our country these days. It started 9 years ago and it's going to continue on the worker's backs. I believe all party affiliations should be done away with. The person running for office would be the person most likely to do the best job because of experience. Wouldn't that be novel? "

Get your facts straight wrote on Nov 4, 2009 9:50 PM:

" The conservative running was just that under the Conservative Party not republican in the NY-23 race. The republican or RINO dropped out of the race 3 days prior to election day. If you tally the votes that the RINO got begause it was to late to remove her name form the ballot and add it to the conservative he would have beat the Democrat. The republican party only endorsed the conservative after the RINO dropped out then she turned around and endorsed the Democrat. I wander how much money she got form the Democrats. "

" it means nothing more than those people voted for who the thought would best represent them at this time - as an independent since 1973 you sould all walk aside of the BS and vote accordingly - which is what a majority of independents did in the last presidental elections - it would I might say that the republicans stop the NO agenda and participate in fixing this country - ther is more going on than abortion -- Please run Sarah Palin in 2012 so we can continue to make America a better place for all "

" Voter....I agree 100%. This should have been a major wake up call for the Dems. I can't wait until the 2010 elections, so we can take back the majority and stop Obama from taking our country so far left that we can't come back. This is the reason that the Dems are in such a rush to pass the healthcare bill. They know that they are going to get the boot next year. "

" Yes, Republicans won the two governors' races (in New Jersey and Virginia), but in New York, the Democratic candidate Bill Owens won New York-23 against the conservative Republican candidate Douglas Hoffman who was backed by Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin. Get all your facts straight before running to print. "
