Federal workers get raise

I understand that our president recently approved a 2% pay raise for all federal employees at about the same time as the social security administration announced that those on social security will not receive a cost of living increase in 2010.

I suppose seniors can do their share to help our struggling economy, especially those who are in the poor house or knocking on the door to get in the poor house.  But a whole bunch of federal employees are being paid a 6 digit income so 2%, while not sounding very significant, could well amount to hundreds of dollars each month.  And let's not forget that years ago our elite congress approved an annual pay raise for themselves and all members of the legislative, executive and judicial branches of the government.

Wow!  There's something wrong with this picture!  Even if the president gets a bill passed to give social security recipients a one time "bail out" of $250.00, there is still something wrong in Washington.

Some changes have already happened in Virginia and New Jersey and it is not the changes the democratic controlled congress and white house was expecting.  Well, I think they had better brace for some additional changes next year.
