Lions Club thank you

The New Iberia Lions Club wants to thank the many people, organizations and businesses for all of their hard work in hosting the 10th annual Lions Club Halloween Festival held Oct. 25 at Cyr-Gates Community Center in the New Iberia City Park.

The festival was a huge success again this year. Our special appreciation and thanks go to the Starz Dance Studio for their outstanding dance students and helping with the concession stands. Also helping with offering delicious food for all of the public to enjoy was the Woodmen of the World. Many thanks go to the Sugarland Optimist Club, Rehab Hospital and other volunteers for giving so generously of their time operating booths; also many thanks go to the contest judges, to our corporate sponsors for all of their generous donations and to everyone who helped out in any way.

Proceeds from this event will support the Louisiana Lions Crippled Children’s Camp in Leesville, helping handicapped children to attend the camp. Funds also will help provide eyeglasses for needy children and seniors and also vision prescreening for preschoolers.
