Many have concluded the universe began as one central explosion of dense material . Was this a spontaneous combustion or an outside trigger ? For every action there is an equal but opposite reaction . When the seed exploded what imploded ? What shape is the universe as we now know it ? The universe is still expanding , is there a stopping point ?

How the Universe began is anyone's guess... but it is both proper and appropriate for us to view these questions as unanswerable for now and very much worth pursuing.
Our own 'opinions' about time are more valuable and less contested than when Galileo and Copernicus and Darwin pondered them, wondered, bravely took the risks to present them.
The shape of OUR collective mind is more important than the shape of the Universe. "

I made no such claim. I merely pointed out that evolution had been observed in the laboratory, that scientists had even been able to trigger evolutionary change, and that Ferris' book was a good read. "

Actually, this is untrue: Evolution has been observed in laboratory conditions and even triggered by scientists. Granted, this is not large-scale evolution (such as the evolution of one species into another), but small-scale evolution (one variety of a species becoming a new variety).

1. Where did the dense material for the big bang come from?
2. What was out there before the big bang?
3. If the universe is expanding (I don’t question that) what is it expanding into. If it’s expanding then it must currently have an end somewhere. If it is expanding into a void is that void not part of the universe? How large is the void and what’s beyond it?
Don’t tell me the universe is infinite because I can’t comprehend infinity . "

Look at it like this, before the 16th century people generally believed the Earth was at the center of the universe. Thanks to people like Copernicus and Galileo we have what is now known as the Heliocentric Theory.
Do you doubt the earth revolves around the sun? No you don't, and mountains of scientific evidence proves this.
Do some research my friend. "

Are you serious? Do you know anything of evolution? Have you bothered to read any of the thousands of books we have on the subject? Evolution has been proven time and time again, through observation, experimentation, and lastly genetics.
The facts overide your ignorance and religious ideals. Its amazing people choose not only to belittle them but blatantly misrepresent them.
And on another note, the post was about the origins of the universe, which has nothing to do with evolution. "
