Americans getting feed up

Published/Last Modified on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 2:08 PM CST

In an unprecedented move to instruct poor, dumb, everyday Americans what is news and what isn’t, the White House has declared that the Fox News Network is not a news network and that mainline news organizations should not treat them as colleagues at all. There goes freedom of speech. What else is this administration going to do to turn the greatest nation in the world into a total nanny state? Non-news rumors have it that the Obama administration is going to try to take over the Internet next. That move would be nothing short of outright anarchy. That shouldn’t surprise us, though. The Obama administration has taken over the banking industry, the automobile industry and is making inroads into the real estate industry while doing its dead level best to control the health care industry while school children are forced to sing praises to our miraculous leader. “The Hill” is doing its best to destroy our petroleum industry with Cap and Trade looming on the horizon. I would imagine that next we will be instructed what foods to eat, when to wipe our noses and when to bow to the east or morning and evening prayers. We are under the mighty thumb of the worst Chicago gangster like thugocracy ever to be foisted on the American people. How is the hopey-changey thing working out for you? I see a lot of change that reflects no hope for the America we once knew and loved. But I still see a movement afoot that is going to do some serious changing come 2010. Americans are getting tired of this excessive spending and are seeing through the congressional nonsense.

    " Mr. Wyche,

How dare you imply that we are poor ,dumb, every day Americans. Speak for yourself. You have been spoon fed all your life. I am poor, and proud to be an American and certainly don't consider myself dumb. You, who profess to be so religious ought not make such inept remarks. You wouldn't be talking this way if you had to work for a living like the rest of us. "

" to Fed- Up: Even if (and notice that I say if) too many illiterate neocons are being spoon fed their news from the propaganda source, Fox news , What gives Obama and his croonies the right to try to get Fox news off the air. The last time I looked us illiterate neocons had just as much right to free speach as the intellegent ones among us that follow Obama's every word. ( if it's the truth or not) "

" It wouldn't be a week in New Iberia if there weren't a letter from Mr. Wyche proclaiming sundry things (death to democracy, end of freedoms, ignorance of the Constitution, etc.) Ever since the time of Jefferson and Adams, the other side has proclaimed that wrack and ruin will come, and it rarely has. Three years from now, everyone will have the opportunity to express their view on Obama. In that time, I doubt democracy will crumble, our freedoms evaporate, or our Constitution fade from existence. Chicken little has little on Mr. Wyche. "
