Nominate players for games of Nov. 5-6

Teche Area football fans are asked to nominate players for Dauterive Hospital/Daily Iberian Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors for the final week of the high school football regular season, covering games of Nov. 5-6.

To nominate a player, post a comment at the end of this story, listing the player's name, school and position, whether he is being nominated for offense or defense, and reasons for the nomination such as statistics or game-changing plays.

Nominations are accepted through Monday, Nov. 9, at 2 p.m., after which the top nominees are selected for inclusion in an Internet poll on The Daily Iberian's Web site.

Advertisement
Voting for players of the week will continue through Thursday at 2 p.m., with the top vote-getters named Players of the Week. A special T-shirt and certificate are presented to the Players of the Week.

The program is sponsored by Dauterive Hospital and The Daily Iberian.

    Dustin Anthony is a sophmore defensive tackle. Dustin Anthony was ALL DISTRICT last season(freshman year). Dustin Anthony averages between six or seven tackles a game check his stats he probably has over 70 tackles this season in case u dont know that is outstanding for a defensive tackle to have those stats..
