Lucy Madison Charles, 62,  a resident and a native of Franklin, died Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at New Iberia Manor North Nursing Care.

Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 7, at Triumph Baptist Church in Franklin from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Burial will be in Prepetual Park Cemetery in Franklin.

Lucy leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Lee Roy Charles of Franklin; her mother, Eunice Champ Madison of Franklin; a son Kirby Madison Sr. of Franklin; a daughter  Wanda Green of Franklin; four brothers Grant Madison of Jacksonville, Fla., Willie Madison of Franklin, Jerry Madison and Glenn Madison, both of St. Paul, Minn.; six sisters Laura Starks  and Barbara Turner, both of  New Orleans, Dorothy M. Marks of Jeanerette, La., Dianne Shaw of Dallas, Eunice Fontenot of New Iberia and Sherry Boutte of Franklin; two children she reared Leondra Green of Franklin and Epiphani Kennedy of Hampton, Va.;  and 13 grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son and her father.

Jones Funeral Home of Franklin is in charge of arrangements.
