KAPLAN — A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. Romona Peter, 55, the former Romona Jones, at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Rev. David Broussard officiating. She will await the resurrection in St. Paul Cemetery in Abbeville.

Visiting hours will be observed on Saturday from 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church Hall in Kaplan.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Steve Peter of Kaplan; one son Quincy Peter of Kaplan; three daughters Catrina Jones of Kaplan, Courtney Jones of Austin, Texas and Stephanie Peter of Baton Rouge; her mother, Georgia Davis Jones of Wichita Falls, Texas; three sisters Edrena Guillory (Vincent) of Beaumont, Texas; Charlotte Grace (Charles) of Houston, Texas and Betty Jones of Wichita Falls, Texas; five grandchildren Tyrone Broussard, Michael Brandon LaCombe Jr., Kirsten Peter, Adalyn Peter and Micah Braelynn LaCombe and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond F. Jones Jr.

C. M. Butler Funeral Home, 898-9595, of Abbeville is in charge of the arrangements.
