Neely Rae ‘Neel’ Kelehan

Funeral services will be conducted for Neely Rae “Neel” Kelehan, 26, on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon George Sikes officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, at 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and resume on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at 8 a.m. until services. A Rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Thursday at 7 p.m.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Neely died on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at 2:25 p.m. in a Lafayette hospital. She was  a “Stay Home Mom” and was a graduate of New Iberia Senior High School and attended the University of Lafayette pursuing a career in education.

She is survived by her daughters Hallie Vincent and Camille Temple; her son Noah Vincent; her parents, Tim and Billie Viator Kelehan; her sisters Staci Kelehan and Erin Boutte; her maternal grandmother, Ludie Viator; all of New Iberia; her aunt and godmother Patricia Bonin of Avery Island; her uncle and godfather Danny Viator of New Iberia; her aunts Debbie East of New Iberia and Patricia Skyeagle of Baton Rouge; her uncle Don Kelehan Sr. of Houston; her nieces Morgan Stockstill, McKensie Boulet, Zoie Boulet and Reese Boutte, all of New Iberia and her nephew Drake Boulet of New Iberia.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Joseph Viator; paternal grandparents, Leo and Mable Kelehan; her aunts Mary Viator and Sharon Kelehan Rogers and her uncle Kenneth Kelehan.

Pallbearers will be Ben Boutte, Cody Boulet, Joel Vincent, Bryce Vincent, Blaire Guillotte and Brad Roberts.

Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Viator Jr., Darryl Viator, Ty Bonin and Stuart Gonsuron.

Gosh too soon, I just remember us all at Daspit Elementary riding the bus and just being "kids" I know you will be watching over all of us as the beautiful person and Angel you now are.
