Odele L. Talley

ST. MARTINVILLE — Mrs. John Dennis Talley, the former  Odele Lasseigne, 84, passed away on Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at 6:35 p.m. at St. Martin Nursing Home. Internment will be held privately at a later date.

A native of Parks and resident of St. Martinville, Mrs. Talley was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the AARP.

She is survived by four sons Calvin Talley and wife, Greta, of Catahoula, Jean Talley and wife, Julie, and Kirk Talley, all of Crowley and Travis Talley and wife, Debbie, of New Orleans; four daughters Brenda DeSoto and husband, Rufus, of Denver; Faye Guilbeau and husband, Bubba, of Cade; Phyllis LeBlanc and husband, Johnny, of St. Martinville and Loretta Blanchard of Parks and two sisters Sadia Lasseigne of Parks and Madia Babineaux of Charenton. Mrs. Talley is also survived by 32 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Dennis Talley; her daughter Dale Francis Talley; parents, Wilfred John and Yolande Cormier Lasseigne Sr.; one sister Delores Poche and one brother Wilfred John Lasseigne Jr.
