Mother Teresa In New Iberia?

Ty The Cobbler

I was listening to WWL radio today, and a caller who said he is originally from here said Mother Teresa once did charity work here in New Iberia. I don't think so. I really do believe I would know that. What do you think? Also, how about a fun, non-argumentative topic for a change? What are your pet peeves? Little things that are not important at all, but still annoy you. I will start it off.  It bugs me when  people who are trying to type out the contraction for you are, which is you're, and they type your. What is worse is when they simply mean to type your (as in where is your ticket) and they type you're.  What are your pet peeves?

    " If Mother Theresa came to New Iberia she would be set upon and assaulted by the gangs of rowdy drunks in this town. New Iberia is home to the most disrespectful, discourteous, rude people who ever stumbled out of whatever hole they grew up in. "

    " Mother Teresa's story is so sad. First of all she was an atheist and it tormented her all of her life. Things got so bad that the Catholic Church performed an exorcism on her in 1997. Her diaries and journals are filled with her doubt about the existence of God.The Church owes her an apology!

    My pet peeve are those horrible Truck Nuts that ignorant people hang off of their back bumpers. I can't imagine having an 8 year old daughter and having to explain to her what those stupid things are. They should be made illegal. "

    " My pet peeve is when I am at the drive thru at a FAST FOOD restaurant and am asked to pull up. If you were a FAST FOOD restaurant I would'nt have to pull up. Secondly, once I pull up, I wait and wait and wait, finally I go inside and my bag of food is just sitting there. If you're going to make me pull up and wait, at least have the decency to bring me my food when it is done. "

Oh...but when they wreck into you, it's YOUR fault because you should've known to let them in. Some people are just too stupid to drive, much less own a vehicle. "

    " Pet peeve;

    Being charged a "service fee" to pay my credit card bill. Especially considering that the system for bill payment is completely automated. According to them, the only way to avoid such a fee is to mail my payment. Sure!!! Right after I send my checking account number to that rich Nigerian queen I met over the internet! "

    The other one is dealing with bored and clueless store clerks. I'm always tempted to show the manager the money I meant to spend and then leave. "

    The one from ME is also good. There was an article a few weeks ago from a teacher, who was praising other teachers as being heroes, that had so many run-together words it was extremely difficult to read. Being the know-it-all that I am I had to point this out. I really caught a lot of flack from other teachers, some of whom couldn’t write or type any better than a fifth grader. Others, or course, were very well written and kinda put me in my place. "
