Lady Jackets beat Barbe

Jasmin Fusilier had 16 kills and Brooke Miller added 13 as New Iberia twice rallied to beat Barbe 9-25, 25-21, 10-25, 25-21, 15-9 Tuesday in a District I-1 volleyball match.

Fusilier added four blocks and an ace and Miller had a block and 18 digs as NISH improved to 21-13 overall, 6-3 in district.

Brittany Dugas had 24 assists and six aces, Shalyn Rabeaux had five aces and two kills, Hailey Hensgens had three assists and 17 digs, Katie Coquat had two kills and an ace and Brianna Mendoza had an ace, an assist and eight digs for the Lady Jackets.

Westgate 3, St. Martinville 0

ST. MARTINVILLE -- Danice Calvert had 10 kills and two aces as Westgate beat St. Martinville 25-20, 25-23, 25-16 Tuesday in a District II-2 contest.

Haley Comeaux added five kills and four blocks. Kaitlin Dooley and Senica Jones each had four kills with Dooley contributing five blocks and Jones adding four aces; Brittani Stevens had five kills; Whitney Touchet had 17 digs; and Morgan Bulliard had 24 assists.

Jaraya White led St. Martinville (8-21, 0-6) with six kills. Chanelle Gardner and Jamie Robertson each had four kills, Alanna Allen had seven assists, Whitney Durand had two kills and two assists, Chelsie James had three kills and an assist and Leah Phillips had eight digs.

Westgate improved to 13-14 overall, 2-4 in district and travel to Catholic High Wednesday.

St. Martinville plays host to St. Thomas More Thursday.

Catholic High 3, West St. Mary 0

BALDWIN -- Taylor Lahasky and Marie Hoag each had five kills as Catholic High blew past West St. Mary 25-17, 25-8, 25-12 Tuesday in a District IV-6 contest Tuesday.

Abby Henagan had nine aces and Courtney Molbert added four aces for the Lady Panthers (19-8, 2-0).

Lanie Lissard had four kills, Casey Breaux had five digs, Sydney Lahasky had nine assists and Caity Breaux added four assists.

Individual statistics for WSM (2-13, 0-2) were not available.

Catholic High plays host to Westgate today. WSM plays host to Berwick Thursday.

Ascension Episcopal 3, Delcambre 1

DELCAMBRE -- Hacie Stelly had 10 kills and added seven blocks but it was Ascension Episcopal that came away with a 22-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-21 District V-2 victory Tuesday.

Alex Trahan had four kills and two digs for DHS. Jenny Bouillion and Shana Vincent each had three kills with Bouiilion adding six assists and an ace.

Emily LeBlanc had seven assists and four aces and Maci Terrebonne had two aces and nine digs for the Lady Panthers (12-18, 2-1).

Individual statistics for AES (11-12, 3-0) were not available.

Delcambre plays at North Central Thursday.

ESA 3, Bethel Christian 0

JENNINGS -- Tiffany Jenkins and Katherine Cyrus each had five kills as ESA easily handled Bethel Christian 25-8, 25-6, 25-15 Tuesday in a District V-1 contest.

Merritt Longman had 21 assists, Kelly Gambel had 21 digs and Avery Munson had four kills for the Lady Falcons (22-9, 4-0).

Individual statistics for Bethel (5-16, 2-2) were not available.

ESA plays host to Northside Christian Thursday.
