Auxiliary fundraiser

The largest fundraiser of the year for the Junior Auxiliary of Iberia Parish appeared to be a huge success by the end of the event Wednesday night at Clementine.

The fundraising dinner brought hundreds of people to the downtown restaurant, where attendees enjoyed cuisine from the chefs of five Acadiana restaurants: Clementine, Imonelli in Lafayette, Bon Creole, Little River Inn and Cypress Bayou Casino.

“It went extremely well,” said auxiliary member Pam Broussard.

Auxiliary members said the live auction, along with the money raised through ticket sales and a silent auction, totaled $24,000 before expenses.

The money will help the group fund its numerous activities that cater to children in Iberia Parish.
