LOREAUVILLE — A Celebration of Life service for Agnes Polk, 59, the former Agnes Marie Joseph, will be on Tuesday, August 4, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Mount Zion Baptist Church # 1, Loreauville, with  pastor Eric Mitchell officiating.

She will await the resurrection at Mount Zion Baptist Church #1 Cemetery, Loreauville.

A gathering of family and friends will be on Tuesday at the Church from 7 a.m. until the time of service.

Agnes was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church #1 of Loreauville; she served as an usher and member of the Life Ministry; she passed on Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at Iberia Medical Center.

She leaves in God's care two sons Amos Polk Jr. and Travis Polk of Loreauville; two daughters Holly Polk of Loreauville and Latoya Jones (Dell) of New Iberia; three step-children Allison Polk, Amanda Knatt of Loreauville and Angela P. Angelle of Opelousas; four brothers Kenery Joseph Sr. (Lucille), Charles Joseph Sr., Stanley Joseph (Florence), all of Loreauville, and Bobby Joseph (Earline) of Gardena, Calif; four sisters, Mary Rosezina Batiste (Arthur) of St. Martinville, Rosalind Alexander (Milton) of Loreauville, Priscilla Batiste (Donald) of St. Martinville and Elzina Joseph of New Iberia; five grandchildren, Dale and Daquan Jones, Reese Polk, Ronisha Walker and Rodisha Walker; 23 step-grandchildren, 11 step-great-grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She joins in glory with her husband, Amos Polk Sr.; parents, Edwin and Alzina Frelow Joseph; brothers Edward Joseph, Leroy Joseph, Albert Joseph; one sister Ursula J. Kinard; two nieces Sheila Savoy and Lena Faye Joseph.

Active pallbearers Amos Polk Jr., Milton Alexander Jr., Reggie Joseph, Raymore Alexander Sr., Rodney Joseph and Neil Archangel.

Honorary pallbearers will be Travis  Polk, Kenery Joseph Sr., Charles Joseph Sr., Stanley Joseph, Bobby Joseph, Arthur Batiste, Milton Alexander Sr., Donald Batiste, Arthur Batiste, Kenery Joseph Jr., Mickey Joseph and Titus Joseph.
