A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Clifton Willie Johnson Jr., 41, on Saturday, July 25, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Fletcher Funeral Home Chapel, New Iberia, with Rev. Donald Wright Jr. officiating.
He will await the resurrection at St. Matthew Cemetery in New Iberia.
A gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday at the funeral home from 7 a.m. until the time of service.
Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife, Deedra B. Johnson, of New Iberia; parents, Gloria Wright Johnson and Clifton W. Johnson Sr., (Jackelyn), all of New Iberia; mother-in-law, Marion Batiste of Houston; three daughters Kayla Lively, Cliffany Lively and Annie G. Lively, all of Jeanerette; two sons Taylor and Tyler Lively of Jeanerette; three stepsons Tejjerick Batiste, Shaquille Delahoussaye and DeAngelo Batiste, all of New Iberia; one brother Quincy Johnson of Lafayette; four sisters Angela Westley (Levi Jr.), Priscilla Johnson (Gregory Wilson), Denise Johnson, Johanna Gims (Leroy III), all of New Iberia; one stepbrother Dedrick Etienne of New Iberia; three stepsisters Shelly Samuel (Winston) of Youngsville, Leslie Etienne of New Iberia, Dianne White of Houston; two special sisters Sadie Bernard and Kyra Fields, both of New Iberia; a special friend James Lockette Jr. of New Iberia; two grandchildren Tajanae Batiste of New Iberia and one on the way; two godchildren Qiana Batiste of Houston and Calvianne Johnson of St. Martinville; a host of nieces, three great-nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He joins in glory with his maternal grandparents, Junius Wright and Elizabeth P. Wright; paternal grandparents, Frank Johnson Sr. and Mary Louise Johnson; niece Yeasher K. Wright; nephew Gregory James Wilson Jr.
Pallbearers are Delonnie Johnson, Damien Johnson Sr., Leroy Gims Jr., Jomanie Vital, Freddie Wright and Quincy Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers are Eldridge Butler, Bryson Johnson, Dnerious Antoine, Anthony Lively, Lee Deal Jr., Richard James Jr., Kerry Wright, Mr. Benny Brown and Calvin Johnson Jr.
