Ananais ‘Buddy’ Johnson Jr.

ASHTON — A Memorial Celebration for Ananais “Buddy” Johnson Jr., 69, will be held 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2009, at Macedonia Baptist Church, 145 Prevost Road, Ashton. Rev. Ulysses Mitchell will be officiating.

Visitation will be from 12 noon to 4: p.m. Friday, July 24, 2009, at Journet and Bolden Funeral Home Chapel, 711 S. Corinne St., New Iberia.

Ananais was a native of Four Corners and a past resident of Weeks Island, but has been residing in  Neco Town for the past 40 years. He passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2009, at Iberia Medical Center following a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ananais and Rosabelle Johnson Sr.

Ananais leaves to cherish many wonderful memories with his wife, Jenella M. Roberts Johnson of Neco Town; five children Terrence Johnson, Joycelyn (Darrell) Banks and Shelia Ann Johnson, all of Houston, Peerless Roberts of Neco Town and Felton L. Roberts of Baldwin; three siblings James (Dorothy) Johnson of Houston, Rena (Eli) Phillips and Angellee “Ann” (Rev. Francis) Davis, both of Neco Town; three grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
