Freddie was born on Nov. 9, 1920, in Charenton and graduated from Hanson Memorial High School in 1938. He retired from Amoco after working for 38 years in the Charenton field. He was a lifelong member of the Immaculate Conception Church and was instrumental in having the rectory, church hall and first mausoleum built. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Baldwin/Charenton Chapter for 63 years. You could always find Freddie in his backyard working his garden and tending to his fruit trees. He loved hunting and was a member of the White Tail Hunting Club. If he wasn’t hunting, he was fishing or working on the farm with JP and Lucille. He also loved to dance. He was proud of the fact that all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren have graduated or will graduate from Hanson.
Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel “Danny” Hebert, Barry Uze’, Alan Vaughan, Rowdy Boudreaux, Ethan Vaughan and Mickey Michel. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles, Zachary and John Andrew Uze’ and Kane and Koby Boudreaux.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Mr. Simoneaux’s name to Hanson Memorial High School.
