John “Steve” S. Sessions

BATON ROUGE — John “Steve” Stephen Sessions, a resident of Baton Rouge, died on Sunday, June 28, 2009, at 9:30 p.m. at Hospice of Baton Rouge.

He was 51 years old and an Electrical Sales Engineer with General Electric Corporation. He was a graduate of LSU and a member of Phi Gamma Delta (Figi) Fraternity.

Visiting will be at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, 17510 Monitor Ave., Baton Rouge, on Tuesday, June 30, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visiting will resume at the church, at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1, until service at 1 p.m. Services will be conducted by Rev. Larry O’Dell. Cremation will follow with a private scattering at a later date.

He is survived by his wife, Vickie Andrus Sessions; parents, Curtis and Vermelle Sessions; a daughter Andi Leigh Sessions; a son Jason Stephen Sessions; a sister Curtissa Boyer; a brother Jeff Sessions; and mother-in-law, Julia Andrus.

Pallbearers are Bart Hughes, Jim Platt, Field Long, Donald Keever, Rudy Landry and Craig Cooper.

Honorary pallbearers are Jason Field and Garrett Meyers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Andrews United Methodist Church, 17510 Monitor Ave., Baton Rouge, LA 70817 or Hospice of Baton Rouge, 9063 Siegen Lane, Baton Rouge, LA 70810.
