David Spencer Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial for David Spencer Jr., 88, will be held 11a.m. Friday, June 26, 2009, at St. Edward Catholic Church. Monsignor Ronald Broussard will be officiating. Private interment will be in St. Edward Church Cemetery.

Visitation will begin 7 a.m. Friday at Journet and Bolden Funeral Home Chapel with the recitation of the rosary at 9 a.m.

David was a native of San Antonio and had been a resident of New Iberia for over 40 years. He peacefully passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2009, in Jeanerette.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David Spencer, Sr. and Theresa Spencer; step-mother, Thelma Spencer and one brother, Raymond Spencer, Sr.

David is survived by three siblings, John (Mildred) Spencer, Raymond (Ursula) Spencer, and Lois Hawkins, all of New Iberia; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be members and friends of the family.
