JUDICE — Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Chad Patrick Guidry, 36, who died on Saturday, June 20, 2009, in Baton Rouge.

Interment will be in St. Basil Cemetery in Judice.

Reverend Charles Langlois, pastor of St. Peter Catholic Church in New Iberia, will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Allen Guidry and Bradley Cruice. Giftbearers will be Haley LeBlanc and Kim Leger. Connie Romero, vocalist, accompanied on the organ by Jodi Bollich will sing for the services, “Take My Hand Precious Lord,” “Be Not Afraid,” “On Eagles’ Wings,” “Amazing Grace” and “Here I Am Lord.”

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Pamela Hebert Guidry; two sons Gavin Michael Guidry and Spencer Cole Guidry; his parents, Kermit and Mary Ann Guidry; one sister Kim Guidry Leger and her husband, Forestier; four brothers Eddie Guidry and his wife, Pam, Randy Guidry and his wife, Lori, Allen Guidry and his wife, Kate, and Bryan Guidry and his wife, Leah; his godchild Haley LeBlanc; and his in-laws Richard and Bea Hebert. He is also survived by his nieces Nicole, Meagan, Olivia, Laney and Valerie Guidry and Haley LeBlanc; and his nephews Brandon, Aaron, and Brock Guidry.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Augustine and Poulita Roberts Constantine; and his paternal grandparents, Cleopha and Erisse Chiasson Guidry.

A native and lifelong resident of Judice, Chad was a loving husband, father, son, brother, godfather and friend to all who knew him. He had a care-free spirit who was always ready to help someone in need when called upon. He was a 1992 graduate of Acadiana High School in Lafayette, and went on to proudly serve his country as a member of the United States Army National Guard 256th Infantry Unit. Chad had a strong work ethic and was a truck driver in the oilfield industry which was his true passion.

He was an avid LSU fan who loved to golf and fish as well. His greatest joy and love in his life was his two boys which he adored. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Pallbearers will be his three brothers Eddie, Randy and Allen and his three nephews Brandon, Aaron and Brock. Honorary pallbearers will be Forestier Leger and Donovan Broussard.

A Rosary will be prayed by Rev. Henry Broussard on Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at 6:30 p.m. in Martin & Castille Funeral Home in Lafayette.

The family requests that visitation be observed on Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. and will continue on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until time of funeral service.
