She returned to Jeanerette to open “Barlyns,” a drugstore/soda fountain shop, with her sister Barbara. After her retirement, Miss Carolyn was able to spend more time at her camp at Cypremort Point where she occupied herself by entertaining family and friends and crabbing with the help of “Ethel.”  She also belonged to the Jeanerette Sewing Club and was an avid reader.

The family would like to thank Northa Lee Holmes, Sarah Patout, her great niece, all her sitters, the staff and nurses of AAA Hospice and Dr. Stephen Boudreaux.
