Funeral services for Mr. Earl Joseph “Mayo” Guillotte Sr., 68, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at Acadian Funeral Home. Interment will follow at St. John the Evangelist Cemetery in Jeanerette. Words of comfort will be given by Kenneth Wright.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 16, 2009, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will continue on Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. until time of the service. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m.

Mr. Guillotte enjoyed fishing and playing the harmonica  and being around his grandchildren. He was born in Jeanerette on Feb. 28,1941, and he went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 14, 2009, at his residence in Maurice.

Mr. Guillotte is survived by his children Crystal Guillotte of Lafayette,  Avia Thibodeaux and husband, Tony, of Arkansas, Earl J. Guillotte Jr. and wife, Shonnia, of Lake Charles, Tisha Guillotte of New Iberia, Tonya Derise and fiancé Doug of Maurice and Sam J. Battaglia and wife, Tamara,  of Delcambre; one sister Eula Segura and husband Larry of Jeanerette; also two special families Ivan Monceaux family of Lake Charles and Randy Segura Sr. Family along with 17 grandchildren a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Delcambre Guillotte; his parents, Hector Guillotte and Louisiana Broussard Guillotte; four brothers Nelson Guillotte, Wilson Guillotte, Lester Guillotte and Chester Guillotte; three sisters Anna Mae Hebert, Luna Duhon and Linda Guillotte.

Pallbearers will be Earl Guillotte Jr., Larry Duhon Jr., Sam Battaglia, T.J. Thibodeaux, Tony Thibedeaux and Ivan Monceaux

Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Segura, Douglas Lormand, Randy Segura Sr. and Derek Segura, Bobby Duhon, Erick Duhon and Dakota Landry
