Anna ‘Mim’ R. Bourque

ST. MARTINVILLE — Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 19, 2009, at St. Martin De Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Anna “Mim” Romero Bourque, 65, who passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at St. Martin Rehab and Nursing Home in St. Martinville.

Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.

Msgr. J. Douglas Courville, JCL, Pastor of St. Martin De Tours Church, will conduct the services.

Anna worked at St. Martinville Primary cafeteria for 25 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Michael Bourque; her sons Gregory Bourque Sr. and his girlfriend Anna Trahan, Todd Bourque and his wife, Amy, and Matt Bourque; her daughter Jennifer Bourque Dugas and her husband, David, all of St. Martinville; her sisters Eunice Maturin of Coteau and Elizabeth Maturin and her husband, Walter, of New Iberia; her mother-in-law, Mathidle B. Bourque of St. Martinville;  her brothers-in-law T-Bit Bourque and his wife, Mary, L.P. Bourque and his wife, Marie, all of St. Martinville, Richard Bourque and his wife, Janelle, and Max Theriot, all of Lafayette; and her grandchildren Krista Dugas, Kayla Dugas, Skylar Jacquet, Cheyenne Bourque, Taylor Bourque, Alexus Worrel, Carlie Bourque, Gregory Bourque Jr., Hunter Bourque and Rylie Bourque.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elidier and Eunice Romero; her brother Ulysses Romero; her sister Rita Theriot; her nephew Wiley Maturin; her father-in-law, Elmo Bourque Sr.; and her brother-in-law Elmo “Sonny” Bourque Jr. and her sisters-in-law Mathildle Romero and Lucy Bourque.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Thursday and continue at 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Friday.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Gregory Bourque, Todd Bourque, Matt Bourque, David Dugas, Darren Bourque and Lee Dugas.

Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
