Jehovah's Witnesses
By A Christian
Published/Last Modified on Friday, June 12, 2009 5:29 AM CDT
I'm sure you've seen them. They go around handing out magazines. How much of what they say is truth? Recently a Jehovah's Witness said that Jesus came in 1914 and left their organization as a channel to spread the good news! Does anyone have any proof or stories from grandma and grandpa of this citing? That's the first I heard of this.

On another note, I think you should study the term Darwinism before you use it in a sentence. And thanks for your prayers, I'm sure you will find something to come of it.
Two hands working can do more than a thousand clasped in prayer. "

You are probably one of those people who rest their faith in Darwinism. Now THATS a joke! And then there is the various meteor, comet, explosion THEORIES on how we have come to be.
I'll pray for you, you seemed troubled. "

Why is "other" added to the Sacred Scripture?
The divinely inspired author wrote: "above every name." Seems clear guys... "it is what it says." "

period. "Don't assume it means otherwise..."

To Godwin, if you are a christian, dont call another religious view point crazy. Besides a few technical differences, what you believe is just as insanely ridiculous. "

Good Luck on just 5 Minutes.
Rhonda has tried to convert me for years. I have been kinda a dead person to her for refusing. Though she won't admit to it, she holds things back from me. Even more of her spare time is, me alone, her holy-rolling door-knocking... "

I do not remember where this phrase come from, but oh so true.
"More wars, hate, and discontent has been caused by religious belief than any other reason."
One of these wars starts when she and I debate our "interpretation" of the Bible. Only 10% of the time she will reach for the Bible to suport her "interpretation".
90 % of the time Rhonda reachesfor one of her little booklets (examining the schripture) which is her elders interpretation of the HOLY BIBLE. "

You don't see me in church that often.
But when i go, I feel good about myself. I am catholic. I see the story from the outside, and I don't let the technicalities of all the different religions get between me and God. Who cares what label you pray under, follow the ten commandments and you probably don't need any church to get to heaven. Money is only paper, it's value only comes because we believe. Same with the church building and religion labels. "

The oldest Bibles in Greek have John 1:1 closing (in reference to The Word) with theos (not capitalized) which means "a god" in the same sentence it uses Theon which means "The God" The Word was "a god" and was with God, it is obvious from John 1:1 they were not one and the same. "

Because B.C. is the English abbreviation for Before Christ, some people incorrectly conclude that A.D. must mean After Death, i.e., after the death of Jesus. If that were true, the thirty-three or so years of his life would not be in any era.
Anno Domini means In the Year of Our Lord reflecting his birth, not his death. "

The same as God always was, Jesus always was, the Holy Spirit always was. You can't think in human terms to understand about Jesus, the son of God. His ways are higher than our ways. His existence differs from ours. We have a beginning and an end...He doesn't. "

If they come knocking on your door, don't answer it. They will get the hint. Maybe you could even be so polite as to say "No thank you" to their offerings. They aren't catholic seeking missles like you are portraying them to be. They are just Christians practicing what they believe. "

Our churches have a purpose, some teach, (or) train, give to the poor, shelter the hurt and needy, bring spiritual help etc… They should all do all these things, but they all specialize in one. That‘s as it should be as long as God comes first with the leading of the Holy Spirit. "
