I'm sure you've seen them. They go around handing out magazines. How much of what they say is truth? Recently a Jehovah's Witness said that Jesus came in 1914 and left their organization as a channel to spread the good news! Does anyone have any proof or stories from grandma and grandpa of this citing? That's the first I heard of this.

Run for your literal lives, folks. These people are anything but Christ-like. It's not Christ's love that "drives them". They have intense, pure hatred for anyone not of their cult. When he retires as the employee, he resumes the role of whatever he chooses. Luke 2:21 states that his name was JESUS (Savior) even before he was conceived in the womb. Upon death your flesh goes back to dust from whence it came and your spirit body returns to the Father that gave it to await judgement. " They have to log how much time they spend at each house because it takes a certain amount of time to make one convert. They have the names and addresses on file of each house they visit. They keep files on their members including medical records and the files are held at their main headquarters in New York. They believe that anyone who is not a JW will be destroyed at Armageddon. They are called Faithful and Discreet Slaves, Illuminating Stars (as in Illuminati) which is Satan's Cult. They are mind controlled by elders called "mentally regulating of Jehovah." "

" I have told them many times to please not return to my home to no avail. In the past I have actually locked my doors, turned out the lights and tv and hid with my children to pretend I wasn't home so they would leave me alone! The sad part is that these people were friends of the family. What's even sadder is that I have been out drinking with these people. They say they can drink but not to get drunk. HELLO, if ya drink alcohol with no limits ya gonna get drunk!!! "

And the rest family would not attend the service because it was held in a Catholic Church but they sure attended the reception and drank up the booze! "

I don't enter into discussions with them because they are absolutely close minded, don't seem to think for themselves and they encourage separation instead of brotherly love. "

" That's good for you. But for myself, I teach Christianity not religion. And the title of our churches won't get us into heaven, it's that one on one relationship with our Heavenly Father. Accepting Him as our personal savior.

Our churches have a purpose, some teach, (or) train, give to the poor, shelter the hurt and needy, bring spiritual help etc… They should all do all these things, but they all specialize in one. That‘s as it should be as long as God comes first with the leading of the Holy Spirit. "

That is too funny. When I am trapped at the door with them I just say aren't you hot with those long sleeves in the middle of summer? Then I say no thank you and close the door. "

" Just remember the first "Christian" religion was the Catholic Church. That began in/around the year 300 AD. For all of you who are not aware, AD means Ano Domini (after the death of Christ). After Christianity was established (Catholic Church first), there were other branches of Christianity (Episcopalian, Lutheran, Methodist, etc). Jahovah's Witnesses may have been started in the early 1900's and that is THEIR belief. Come on, don't be so gullible. Think back to your world history. The dates are in the book! And, when they come to my door, I-tell-them-that-I-teach-religion-in-a-Catholic-school. They leave immediately. "

" Firs t let me start by saying I am a inactive Jehovah's witness who does not practice anymore. The Bible has chronological themes that do point closely to the time of 1914. As there would be a great calamity as the world had not seen prior(the break out of World War 1 to be exact). There must have been a misunderstanding on the authors part. Witnesses believe that Satan was cast out of Heaven at that time and Jehovah placed Jesus in charge of his kingdom. Jesus will not fully rule the Earth until after Armageddon. "

My grandparents were teens that year and very much in the Christian movement and if there was a sighting, they would have known and spread the word down the family line. I think they may be talking about Joseph Smith. "

I hate when the knock on my door. Dont come around trying to "sell" me your religion. Thanks but no thanks, I have my own. And on that note when i say no thanks that means NO and please leave my house!! I dont care if it will only take a minute!! "

Now this all happened in Loreauville, so maybe Jesus was not in Loreauville that year. Now my great grandpaw was alcoholic, so maybe he would have seen something. "

" They come by my house quite often. I always tell them "thanks, but we're all stocked up on religion here" and then shut the door. Someone told me that one day he opened his door and they could hear Rush Limbaugh on his radio and one of them asked him "do you listen to Rush?" My friend told them yes, and they turned and walked away. That made me consider having a tape of Rush playing on a loop in my garage. "
